Two-time NFL rushing champ Edgerrin James could miss the Indianapolis Colts’ game next week at Buffalo because of a sprained left knee.

James injured the knee with about four minutes remaining in Thursday’s 35-28 victory at Kansas City. James was hurt when his foot stuck in the Arrowhead Stadium grass as linebacker Marvcus Patton tackled him.

Colt Coach Jim Mora said James had an MRI exam Friday that confirmed he had a sprained knee--but no structural damage.

Mora listed James as questionable, meaning there’s a 50-50 chance he would play Nov. 4 against the Bills.

“The MRI showed that it was sprained, which was basically the prognosis last night,” Mora said. “I haven’t talked to him today, but [trainer] Hunter [Smith] has, and he said Edgerrin felt pretty good.”

James and other Colts players were not available Friday because Mora gave them three off days.

Leon Searcy was put on injured reserve by the Baltimore Ravens, in effect ending the offensive tackle’s season before he played a down.

The Ravens also signed free agent Danny Kight, who will handle kickoffs in place of injured Matt Stover.

Searcy signed a six-year free-agent contract in March. He was sidelined after hurting his left arm in August and then injured his triceps this week.

Buffalo Bill rookie Travis Henry pleaded guilty in Hamburg, N.Y., to trying to have sexual contact with a 15-year-old girl.

Henry, a running back, will be sentenced Nov. 9. He faces up to 90 days in jail and a maximum $500 fine for the misdemeanor, but it is more likely that he will have to do community service.

In agreeing to charge Henry with a misdemeanor, District Attorney Frank Clark took into account that the encounter was consensual, there was no evidence of physical or psychological coercion, and the two were relatively close in age. Henry turns 23 on Monday.
