Holiday Closures
Monday is Labor Day, set aside to recognize the contributions of working people to the nation. The holiday also marks the traditional end of summer.
* OFFICES: All government offices, courts, banks, post offices, stock and commodity exchanges, libraries and many businesses will be closed.
* TRANSPORTATION: MTA buses will follow Sunday schedules, and Metrolink trains will not run.
* TRASH: Regular Monday trash collection for Los Angeles city residents will be postponed until Tuesday.
