Driving Statistics
At last, some fair statistics and reporting about older drivers (“Older Drivers Found to Have Lowest Crash Rates,” Sept. 5). For years older drivers have been the butt of jokes and unfairly characterized as poor drivers. True, we do drive more slowly, but we also make stops at stop signs and, best of all, we signal! Perhaps it’s because we’re scared. Is there some way of putting the “fear of death” into some of the nuts and road-ragers zipping around us?
