Firefighters Collect for New York Families

San Gabriel City firefighters will collect donations today through Thursday for the spouses and children of firefighters who died in the World Trade Center.
The “fill the boot” event will be held at the intersection of Las Tunas and Del Mar avenues from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. each day.
In El Monte, police will collect donations Wednesday outside City Hall for the families of New York City police who died.
Officers will be at the table from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
