Man Dies in Shooting in McDonald’s Parking Lot
A man was fatally shot and another critically wounded Friday in the parking lot of a McDonald’s restaurant in San Gabriel, authorities said.
The two unidentified men were in a car at the restaurant in the 700 block of San Gabriel Boulevard when another man walked up and fired into their car, said Sheriff’s Deputy Rich Pena. One man died at the scene, and the other was in critical condition at a hospital, he said.
The assailant in the 12:35 p.m. shooting fled in a red Ford Thunderbird, Pena said. The motive for the shooting was unclear, he said. Anyone with information is asked to call homicide detectives at (323) 890-5500.
