Escaped Rapist Remains at Large
From Times Wire Reports
An Orange County man convicted of raping three prostitutes at knifepoint remained at large Tuesday, three days after escaping from Atascadero State Hospital.
Ronald Rogers was reported missing about 4 p.m. Sunday, although officials believe he disappeared the night before. He fooled hospital staffers by arranging his bedding to make it look like he was sleeping, a spokeswoman said.
He was last seen at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, when he was examined by a doctor for back pain, Barrie Hafler said.
