From Times Wire Reports

Charges of sexual misconduct against a Santa Rosa priest will stand, a Sonoma County judge has ruled.

The Rev. Don Kimball argued that the statute of limitations had expired. But Superior Court Judge Gayle Guynup ruled Thursday that the charges were still valid.

Kimball, a former youth minister, is accused of raping a 14-year-old girl in 1977 in Santa Rosa and molesting a 13-year-old girl in 1981 in Healdsburg. The charges were filed last year. Kimball’s trial is scheduled to begin Nov. 5.
