Caller Tip Leads to Body near San Juan Creek
Police are investigating an apparent homicide after a tip led them to a decomposed body near San Juan Creek on Friday.
Orange County Sheriff’s detectives found a man’s body about 1:30 p.m. under the Interstate 5 freeway overpass near San Juan Creek Road, sheriff’s spokesman Jim Amormino said.
The man, between age 25 and 40, had not been identified late Friday, and the cause of death had not been determined, Amormino said, but investigators suspect homicide because they received three anonymous calls in the last week about the body. An autopsy will be conducted today.
