Tijuana Police Chief, Prosecutor Back on Job
Tijuana’s police chief and an assistant state prosecutor have returned to their jobs a week after being arrested along with 40 others on allegations that they protected a major Mexican drug cartel.
Police Chief Carlos Otal Namur and prosecutor Rogelio Delgado Neri announced Wednesday their return to work.
The two were arrested on allegations that they had protected the Arellano Felix drug cartel.
President Vicente Fox had said that officials would remain suspended until federal authorities concluded their investigation.
