Democratic Principles
Chris Kraul and William Orme’s April 21 news analysis of the damage caused by the Bush administration’s mishandling of the coup in Venezuela demonstrates the failure of the Machiavellian “ad hoc-ism” advocated by the Kissinger school of thought. The United States is strongest when we are true to the very principles upon which this nation was founded. It is for that reason there are streets, squares and even children all over the globe named after American leaders who stood true to these principles.
