Man Killed When Car Hits Freeway Sign Pole
A Los Angeles man died early Wednesday when his car went off the northbound Golden State Freeway near Balboa Boulevard and struck a sign pole, California Highway Patrol Officer Vince Ramirez said.
The crash victim, whose identity was not released, was transported to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, where he was pronounced dead, CHP Officer Kevin Neeley said.
The CHP closed one northbound lane from about 3 to 5:20 a.m.
