Fire at Woodworking Plant Is Investigated
From Times Staff and Wire Reports
An early morning fire Saturday badly damaged a woodworking plant, fire officials said.
About 75 firefighters responded to the 1:30 a.m. blaze at 14547 Arminta St. Flames were shooting through the roof of the building when firefighters arrived, said a Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman, Brian Humphrey.
Crews were able to confine the fire to a single unit in the multi-tenant building. The flames were extinguished in about half an hour, Humphrey said.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
