Agoura Wins Bronco Baseball Title

Robert Stock threw a no-hitter with nine strikeouts and Mitchell Halper had three hits, including a home run, to lead Agoura to an 11-1 victory over Taiwan on Tuesday in the championship game of Pony Baseball’s Bronco League World Series (ages 11-12) in Monterey.

Halper’s .833 batting average was the best in series history and helped Agoura finish 24-3 this season.

In other Pony Baseball news, Santa Clarita fell to Puerto Rico, 12-2, in the championship game of the Mustang League World Series (ages 9-10) Saturday in Irving, Texas.

The Orange County Renegades lost to Santa Clara, 5-1, in the title game of Pony Baseball’s Palomino League World Series (ages 17-18) on Monday in Santa Clara.
