From Times Staff Reports
The father of a 3-year-old Wilmington girl was charged Wednesday with seven counts of felony child endangerment after the girl accidentally ingested cocaine, the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office announced.
Guillermo Elizarraraz, 33, was arrested Saturday after the girl was taken to Kaiser Permanente Medical Center for a cocaine overdose, police said. She was in critical condition Wednesday evening, hospital spokesman Kevin Dunegan said.
Elizarraraz is free on bail and is to be arraigned in San Pedro Superior Court on Sept. 3.
