Police Release Name in Pedestrian Death

A woman who died after being hit by a car as she crossed a street on Thanksgiving Day was identified Saturday as a 32-year-old Stanton woman, authorities said.
Felipa Sanchez Ayende died at the scene when a car struck her as she crossed Cerritos Avenue at or near Rose Avenue about 7:30 p.m., said Lt. Phil Johnson of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
Investigators were not sure if she was in a crosswalk.
The driver has not been cited, Johnson said.
