Second of 2 Siblings Found in Pool Dies
The second of two toddlers found floating in a backyard pool on Thanksgiving Day has died, authorities said.
One-year-old Nicholas Rodriguez died late Friday at Childrens Hospital and Health Center in San Diego, just hours after his sister, Monserrat Rodriguez, 2, officials said.
The San Diego County medical examiner’s office said the family went to a relative’s home for Thanksgiving. The family realized the two children hadn’t been seen for several minutes and began looking for them.
They found the siblings floating face down in the pool.
Police were trying to determine how the toddlers got through a fence surrounding the pool.
