‘Big River’ wins 8 ADA Awards
“Big River” continued its winning ways Monday as the original Deaf West Theatre production won eight of the Artistic Director Achievement Awards from the Valley Theatre League -- more than any other single show.
Interact Theatre’s “Death of a Salesman” and Zombie Joe’s Underground Theatre’s “Othello” tied for second place with four ADA Awards each, one more than Road Theatre’s “Napoli Milionaria.”
On Nov. 24, “Big River” and “Napoli Milionaria” were the biggest winners among individual shows at Theatre LA’s Ovation Awards.
The Valley awards were presented at El Portal Theatre in North Hollywood, in a ceremony emceed by Fritz Coleman.
