The Vancouver Canucks’ good fortune ran out in a place it often does.

Chris Osgood and the New York Islanders ended the Canucks’ best winning streak ever at 10 games with a 2-1 victory Tuesday night at Uniondale, N.Y.

Alexei Yashin scored with 1:32 left to break a 1-1 tie and end the NHL’s longest winning streak this season.

Vancouver won its last five at home and on the road before running into nemesis Osgood. The New York goalie made 25 saves and is unbeaten in his last 11 starts against the Canucks (8-0-3). He is 11-1-4 against them in his career.
