Man Arrested in Attack on Wife, Co-Worker
From Times Staff Reports
Police on Thursday arrested a man who they say shot his wife and her co-worker in a jealous rage, wounding her and killing him.
Jesus Rivas, 38, was arrested near his home in the Wilshire area about 5:15 p.m., a day after the shootings in a Los Angeles garment business.
Det. Emmett Badar said that officers had been talking with Rivas by cellular phone for much of the afternoon, and that he agreed to surrender. He was arrested on suspicion of murder.
