A Buena Park man accused of firing an assault rifle into a party at a Fullerton house early Saturday was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, and three of his family members were charged with being accessories, police said.

No one was injured in the incident. Fullerton police said Harvey Garcia, 19, went to the house in the 2100 block of West Olive Avenue looking for a man who had tried to break up a fight between him and his girlfriend, Jessica Mena, 18, an hour earlier. Garcia fled after firing the rifle into the house and pointing it at the host, Lt. Doug Cave said.

Police found Garcia leaving his house with his father, Javier Garcia, 56, about 12:45 a.m. Another car leaving the house held Mena; Garcia’s mother, Maria Garcia, 43; stepbrother Miguel Gonzalez, 19; and three assault rifles, Cave said. All but Mena were arrested as alleged accessories to a murder attempt.
