City to Sell Vehicles Used in Solicitations

The Los Angeles City Council gave final approval Friday to an ordinance allowing the city to seize and sell vehicles used by motorists in the solicitation of prostitutes.
The council acted after Oakland Mayor Jerry Brown testified to the council that a similar law in his city has been an effective anti-crime tool.
