Steinbeck’s Son to Attend Book-Signing

Thomas Steinbeck, son of author John Steinbeck, will read from and sign his new book, “Down to a Soundless Sea,” at an event organized by the Ventura County Library.
The event, which is in conjunction with John Steinbeck’s 100th birthday, is scheduled at 2 p.m. Jan. 18 in the Ventura City Hall atrium, 501 Poli St. For more information, call 477-7332.
