Fog Leads to 71-Vehicle Pileup in Houston
From Times Wire Reports
Dense fog contributed to a fiery chain-reaction crash involving 71 cars, vans and trucks on the Sam Houston Tollway in Houston. Police said 21 people were injured, five seriously, though there were no deaths and no injuries were life-threatening.
“You couldn’t see anything,” said Roger Ealey, 27.
The pileup started just before 7 a.m. on the four-lane highway and involved traffic in the eastbound and westbound lanes.
