UCLA (6-4, 1-0) at Oregon State (7-3, 1-0), 1 p.m., KTDD (1350), KBET (850) -- The Bruins are seeking their first 2-0 Pacific 10 start since 1999-00 and their first road sweep to open conference play since 1998-99. UCLA is averaging 80.6 points, and the 93 points scored against Oregon on Friday was its second highest point total this season. The smallish Bruins continue to negate their height deficiencies with a relentless full-court press that is responsible for the bulk of 22 turnovers a game they force. Oregon State Coach Judy Spoelstra earned her 200th coaching victory in the Beavers’ 63-61 win over USC. Oregon State is 6-0 at Gill Coliseum, its best home start since 1983-84.

USC (5-6, 0-1) at Oregon (4-6, 0-1), 1 p.m. -- USC doesn’t need to stew over its two-point loss to Oregon State any longer. But the Trojans certainly weren’t happy the Beavers shot 32 free throws while they shot 19, even if Oregon State missed 13. If the Trojans want to avoid an 0-2 conference start for the second time in three seasons, they will need to improve their second-half shooting. On Friday, for the fourth time in its last seven games, USC made fewer than 10 shots after halftime. Oregon’s 25-point loss to UCLA was the second worst home defeat in Pac-10 play. The Ducks were missing leading scorer Cathrine Kraayeveld, who had inflammation in her right knee. Her return date is undetermined.
