Weekend Shooting Was Gang-Related, Police Say
Police said Monday that the shooting death of a 24-year-old Van Nuys man over the weekend was gang-related.
Macario Alcorn apparently was shot as he drove away from a party early Sunday morning in Lake View Terrace, said Det. Frank Bishop of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Foothill Division.
Police found Alcorn dead in his blue BMW, which crashed into a chain-link fence in the 11500 block of Fenton Avenue, near Terra Bella Street, Bishop said.
Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call police at (818) 834-3115.
