Tiger’s Absence Is Not Excused

Share

Last year, the Tiger Woods Foundation conducted one of its few events at Eldorado Park in Long Beach. More than 3,000 kids got to attend the event. How many of those kids were looking forward to seeing Tiger in person at this year’s L.A. Open, and will now be disappointed?

I know having more money than you could ever spend, your own jet and people doing you favors at every turn can be a real hassle. But to deprive your hometown fans of the chance to see you play because you’re worn out from all of the golf you play is a little hard to stomach. We want to see Tiger play even if he isn’t at the top of his game, and he owes it to all of the firsts that he enjoyed in L.A. before he moved to Florida.
