Heath Slocum looked like he was back on the Buy.com Tour in the third round of the Tucson Open on Saturday.

Slocum, 28, shot an eight-under-par 64, matching the best score of the week, to take a one-stroke lead into the final round.

“I feel good going in tomorrow, because I’m where I want to be--on top,” Slocum said. “I feel like you play a good round [today] and, you know, you’re going to make someone have to beat you.”

Slocum made six of eight cuts last year after earning a promotion to the big tour with three Buy.com Tour victories, but missed the cut in four of five previous events this season.

“I just think my game wasn’t there with me,” Slocum said. “I have had bits and pieces of it show up at each event, but overall my putting hasn’t been very good.”

Slocum eagled the par-five second hole and had six birdies to finish 54 holes at 16-under 200.

Andrew Magee (65) and second-round leader Brandel Chamblee (69) were tied for second place.

Ed Dougherty shot a seven-under 65 to take a two-stroke lead over Bruce Fleisher after the second round of the Audi Senior Classic at Naucalpan, Mexico.

Dougherty, a two-time senior winner, had an eagle and six birdies to reach eight-under 136 on the tree-lined Capultepec course that stretches to 7,119 yards at an altitude of 7,800 feet.

Fleisher, seeking his 15th victory in four years on the senior tour, shot a 66. Gary McCord (66) and Walter Morgan (68) were at 140.

Karrie Webb, trying to become the first tour player to win the same tournament five consecutive times, shot a four-under 68 for a share of the Australian Masters lead at Gold Coast.

Webb matched Germany’s Elisabeth Esterl (71) at 10-under 206 after three rounds at Royal Pines’ East Course.

Australia’s Michelle Ellis (70) was two strokes back. Sweden’s Annika Sorenstam (71) and Italy’s Silvia Cavalleri (72) followed at 209.
