Chris Dufresne’s Prediction

Forget that the BCS is a royal mess, that Nebraska probably doesn’t belong in the game or that a Nebraska win will give Oregon a share of the national title. The team from South Florida is about to make all of this fuss Miami Moot. If you believe Miami is Oregon with better athletes, what chance does Nebraska stand? Colorado beat Nebraska by 26 points and lost to Oregon by 22. It didn’t take a genius to figure out how Oregon won. Knowing Colorado was a one-dimensional running team, the Duck cornerbacks locked up the opposing receivers and committed forces to stuffing the run. Miami will use the same concept to stop Nebraska. If Crouch is going to beat Nebraska, it will have to be with his arm, not his legs. And, for the record, Crouch has only seven touchdown passes against 10 interceptions.

Miami claims the championship outright and Oregon continues the rant that it would have given Miami a better game. Score: Miami, 34-20
