USC (7-6, 3-1) at Washington State (2-11, 0-3), 7--Even with the loss to Stanford on Sunday, the Trojans are off to their best Pacific 10 Conference start since 1997. Several USC players were weakened by food poisoning the day before the Stanford game. Washington State is trying to end an eight-game losing streak, but it’s not the fault of center Brittney Hawks, who averages 12.6 points and 10.2 rebounds. Ebony Hoffman is coming on, averaging 21 points in her last three games for the Trojans.
