Cal Upsets Stanford, 68-54

Ryan Forehan-Kelly scored 13 of his 19 points in the final five minutes and California upset No. 12-ranked Stanford, 68-54, in a Pacific 10 Conference game Sunday night at Berkeley.

Amit Tamar scored 10 points for the Bears (10-2, 1-1), who won their 10th in a row at home and ended a 10-game losing streak to Stanford, which beat Cal, 82-62, on Thursday in Palo Alto.

Casey Jacobsen scored 20 points to lead Stanford (8-3, 1-1), which hadn’t lost to the Bears in nearly five seasons and never at the 3-year-old Haas Pavilion.

Solomon Hughes, Cal’s 6-foot-11 senior center, sat out his second game because of a strained right knee.

No. 15 Arizona 93, Oregon State 87--Trailing by 19 points early in the second half, the Wildcats rallied behind Jason Gardner and a harassing full-court press at Tucson.

Gardner tied his career high with 34 points, including 23 in the second half, and led a scrappy defense that quickly got the Wildcats back in the game.

The junior point guard scored 14 of Arizona’s final 16 points.

Channing Frye scored 18 points for the Wildcats (9-4, 2-2).

Brian Jackson scored 21 points for Oregon State (8-6, 1-3), which hasn’t won at McKale Center in 18 years.

Arizona State 95, Oregon 88--Chad Prewitt scored 18 of his career-high 27 points in the second half for the Sun Devils at Tempe, Ariz.

Prewitt, who had a career-high 12 rebounds, made a one-handed 14-foot jump shot with 1:23 left that proved to be the winning basket, opening an 89-86 lead.

Curtis Millage scored 17 points for Arizona State (9-4, 2-2).

Luke Jackson had 19 points and Luke Ridnour had 17 for the Ducks (10-4, 3-1).
