From Times Wire Reports

A 1987 murder case that landed two innocent men in prison for 14 years ended with a guilty plea from the real killer, who admitted shooting a cabdriver in the face in New York during a botched robbery.

Arlet Cheston, 42, received a sentence of 15 years to life in a plea bargain.

Cheston was arrested in May after police matched his fingerprints with those lifted from the inside of the cab after the slaying of Jean Ulysses.

A witness had initially identified Anthony Faison, 35, and Charles Shepherd, 38, as the killers. She later recanted, saying she lied for the $1,000 reward.
