Alpine Avalanches Leave Five Dead

A French ski guide and two Swiss clients were found dead after being buried in an avalanche near the Megeve ski station, police said. The accident brought to five the number of people killed by avalanches in the French Alps over three days.
An avalanche unleashed by a group of skiers killed one person in southeastern France on Saturday, authorities in Grenoble said.
On Friday, a skier died of injuries sustained after being engulfed in cascading snow near the Valmorel ski station in the Savoie region.
