Clippers Will Be on Channel 5

The Clippers, who were without an over-the-air television station last season, will announce today that they have reached a multiyear agreement with Channel 5.
The station will televise 25 regular-season games.
The Clippers broke off negotiations last summer with flagship station Channel 9 in hopes of making a deal with Channel 5. But amid the economic downturn after Sept. 11, no deal was made.
The Clippers were previously on Channel 5 from 1985-89. Channel 5 is owned by Tribune Co., which also owns The Times.
