Life Imitates Art at Janet Reno’s Dance Party
Former U.S. Atty. Gen. Janet Reno revved up her campaign supporters at a trendy South Beach club.
“Janet Reno’s Dance Party” mimicked the famous “Saturday Night Live” skit on NBC that parodied her. Reno, a Democrat, often mentions the skit, and supporters say it shows she is down to earth.
Reno is seeking to unseat Republican Gov. Jeb Bush. Polls show her trailing him by double digits.
“Most candidates have to hustle to raise money,” Bush campaign spokesman Todd Harris said. “But this is the first time I have ever heard of someone actually doing the Hustle to raise money.”
