Matchup Allows Fox, Williams a Rare Visit

In a postseason of firsts, Rick Fox and actress-singer wife Vanessa Williams enjoyed another landmark this weekend.

It was the first time they had seen each other since before the playoffs began, a span of more than two months.

While Fox was helping the Lakers reach the NBA Finals, Williams was leading her Broadway show, “Into the Woods,” to the Tony Awards.

In fact, when Fox was playing in Sacramento in Game 7, Williams was in the audience at the Tonys in New York, waiting to see if she had won for her portrayal of a witch. The Lakers won, she didn’t, but both of them won when the Nets beat the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference finals, allowing them to see each other in the Finals.
