* Autry Museum of Western Heritage (4700 Western Heritage Way, L.A., [323] 667-2000). Tue.-Sun., 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; Thu., 10 a.m.-8 p.m. “Jewish Life in the American West: Generation to Generation” examines Jewish life in the West from the 1820s to the 1920s through original documents, photos, art, artifacts and other mediums. The photo, above, of immigrants Adolph and Sam Frankel, taken in Cushing, Okla., is part of Allen Mondell and Cynthia Salzman Mondell’s film “West of Hester Street.” The exhibit opens Friday and ends Jan. 30. Also at the museum: “Art of the Charreria: A Mexican Tradition,” showcasing more than 350 pieces that celebrate Mexico’s national sport. Through Sept. 29.
