Woman, 85, Killed in Accident on Highway 126
A Ventura woman died Friday afternoon after a three-car crash on California 126 near Wells Road in Ventura.
Eulala Keller, 85, was driving east when traffic began slowing because of road construction, the California Highway Patrol reported. Keller, who was traveling about 65 mph, apparently didn’t slow quickly enough and plowed into a car ahead of her, which then hit a cement truck.
A passing CHP officer gave Keller cardiopulmonary resuscitation until paramedics arrived. She was taken to Santa Paula Memorial Hospital, where she was pronounced dead about 2:30 p.m. The occupants of the other two vehicles were not seriously injured, the CHP said.
