Chantelle Anderson scored 18 points and No. 6-ranked Vanderbilt (27-6) defeated Louisiana State, 63-48, Sunday in the Southeastern Conference tournament final at Nashville.

The Commodores have won eight of their last nine games.

Big East--Quarterfinals at Piscataway, N.J.: Asjha Jones scored 16 points and top-ranked Connecticut (31-0) defeated Seton Hall, 78-48.... Villanova defeated Miami, 68-49, behind Trish Juhline’s 22 points.... Adriana Spears’ 17 points led No. 18 Boston College (22-6) over Rutgers, 64-59....
