Man Gets 25 Years to Life for Killing Ex-Girlfriend

A Granada Hills handyman was ordered to serve 25 years to life in prison Thursday for beating his ex-girlfriend to death.
Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Warren G. Greene sentenced Martin Albert Zahorik Jr., 51, for the first-degree murder of Lynda Sullo, 50, at their home.
Sullo was kicked and beaten in March 2000 and died a week later. Two women testified at the trial that Zahorik also beat them, Deputy Dist. Atty. Carolyn McNary said.
