Drive-By Shooting Leaves 2 Dead, 1 Hurt
Two men were killed and a 62-year-old woman was seriously wounded early Friday evening during a drive-by attack outside a mini-mart in South Los Angeles, authorities said.
Fatally wounded were two 18-year-olds police think may have been gang members, Los Angeles Police Capt. James Bower said.
The female victim, who was listed in stable condition, was hit by a stray bullet while walking home from a bus stop near the corner of 47th Street and Vermont Avenue, he said.
Bower said investigators were searching for two men who sprayed the corner with gunfire from a white Nissan Ultima.
In a separate incident, three men were shot and wounded in the 1800 block of West 95th Street, authorities said.
Police asked that anyone with information on either attack call 877-LAW-FULL.
