Police Seeking Man in Underwear Thefts
Police searched Wednesday for a man suspected of lifting women’s dresses and pulling off their underwear.
In the latest incident, a woman carrying her 15-month-old daughter was walking to her apartment on Ambazar Tuesday afternoon when a man lifted her skirt, tore off her underwear, then fled on foot after the woman shoved him, Irvine Det. Mike Li said.Police said the man has struck six times since Sept. 7, targeting women in their 20s who live in apartment complexes near the San Diego Freeway. No one has been injured.
The man is in his mid-20s, thin and about 5 feet 6, police said.
