A Quartz Hill man was arrested Friday after he allegedly shot a teller in the shoulder while trying to rob Antelope Valley Bank on 50th Street West.
Ryan Layton, 20, was arrested at a nearby carwash shortly after the 9:45 a.m. robbery.
Authorities said he jumped over the counter and walked up and down the line of tellers brandishing a gun and demanding money. When he approached the last teller, he shot her in the shoulder, officials said.
The teller was in stable condition.
