Update--Dallas, playing its home opener, is an Arena expansion team. But the Desperados so far have been tough. They beat Carolina in the season opener, 57-44, and lost last week to New Jersey, 45-44, when quarterback Andy Kelly threw an interception with six seconds left. Kelly, an eight-year Arena veteran who played in two league championship games with Nashville (now Georgia), is off to a solid start, having completed 42 of 70 passes for 481 yards and 10 touchdowns. Avenger receiver Chris Jackson is off to an even better start. The Los Angeles offensive specialist leads the league in receptions with 23, yards receiving with 387, and in scoring with 60 points on 10 touchdowns. Jackson caught five touchdown passes last week in a 63-59 loss to Arizona.
