Sacramento King Coach Rick Adelman has to start thinking of ways to shuffle his lineup without Peja Stojakovic.

Stojakovic isn’t expected to play in Game 4 today against the Dallas Mavericks and may not play the rest of the Western Conference semifinal series because of a badly sprained ankle.

Stojakovic was hurt midway through the third quarter Thursday when he stepped on teammate Vlade Divac.

Doug Christie, who went down in the second quarter with his own sprained right ankle, returned after Stojakovic was hurt. He is expected to play today.

The virus that has plagued Jamal Mashburn throughout the playoffs has turned into vertigo, making the Charlotte Hornets assume their leading scorer won’t play anytime soon.

The bloody head-to-head Game 3 collision between Charlotte’s David Wesley and New Jersey’s Jason Kidd left Kidd with at least a dozen stitches above his right eye and so much swelling he couldn’t sleep.

The Nets lead the Eastern Conference semifinal series, 2-1, but are uncertain if Kidd will be ready for Game 4 Sunday at Charlotte.
