Deal of the Week: San Diego Museums

Share

Avid museum-goers get a break with a new $55 pass called the “Best of Balboa Park,” covering admission to the San Diego Zoo and 13 other attractions at Balboa Park, home to numerous museums, performing arts centers and cultural groups. The pass is good for one day’s admission to the zoo and two days of museum-going (or three days, if you can squeeze some in on the day you go to the zoo). It can save you money if you visit the zoo and more than three or four museums in that period. Zoo admission is normally $32 per adult, including bus tour and aerial tramway ride. Museums range from $3 to $11.50 (including an IMAX film at the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center). There is no comparable pass for children because entrance fees and policies vary, a spokeswoman said. You can buy the pass at the Balboa Park Visitors Center and the attractions, or in advance at (619) 239-0512, www.balboapark.org.
