Prep Production of ‘Song’

Students from the David and Barbara Abell Music Magnet School and the Stephen and Carrie Odell Theatre Arts Academy at Washington Preparatory High School will present a production of an urban musical, “Ephraim’s Song,” from May 30 to June 2 at Washington Prep.
Written and directed by actor-playwright-teacher Mark Swinton, and featuring the music of the hip-hop/R&B; recording artists known as City High, the musical is about the frustration and bewilderment that surround a group of young people who have given up on direction and are trying to live life their own way. The score was written and produced by City High’s Robby Pardlo and Ryan Toby.
