A Las Vegas grand jury agreed Thursday to indict a San Bernardino County teacher, formally accusing her of 19 charges in connection with the alleged abduction of her student, officials said.

The grand jury will publish its indictment today, said Clark County Deputy Dist. Atty. Lisa Luzaich.

Tanya Hadden will be charged with six counts of statutory sexual seduction, 12 counts of sexual conduct between a school employee and a pupil, and one count of first-degree kidnapping, Luzaich said.

Hadden, a former Cajon High School science teacher, is also expected to face charges in San Bernardino County, officials said.

Hadden, 33, and Richard Pena, 15, a student in one of her classes, were discovered together late last month in a Las Vegas hotel. The pair fled after police began investigating whether Hadden had served alcohol to Pena and another student at a party, authorities say.
