RIAA Elevates President Rosen

* Hilary Rosen, president and chief executive of the Recording Industry Assn. of America, has been elevated to chairwoman and CEO of the Washington-based trade group. Senior Executive Vice President Cary Sherman will succeed her as president.

* YaYa, a Los Angeles-based maker of customized games and entertainment for advertisers, has hired James Clarke as chief operating officer, Jane Chen as director of strategy and Jody Hirschorn as controller.

* Sherman Oaks-based restaurant operator and franchiser Sizzler International Inc. has promoted Forbes S. Collins to director of West Coast operations and Mike Williams to company market manager. The company also hired culinary expert and chef Dudley McMahon as vice president of product development of its Sizzler USA unit. He is formerly of the Ohio-based restaurant chain Damon’s International.

* Suzanne Taylor has been named director of salons for PureBeauty, an Encino-based operator of 56 hair salons in the West. She is a former executive at Regis Corp., operator of MasterCuts and Supercuts salons.

* Lissa Zwahlen has been named vice president for product development at Santa Monica-based apparel designer Mossimo Inc. She is a former executive with Quiksilver Inc.

* Bruce R. Adams and Robert P. Condon have been promoted to become executive vice presidents at AIG SunAmerica in Los Angeles. Abrams will continue to serve as president and chief marketing officer of AIG Annuity Insurance Co., and Condon will remain president and CEO of the AIG VALIC unit.

* Aidan Foley has been named executive vice president for business development and president of Liberty Livewire’s Enterprise Solutions Group. Liberty is a Santa Monica-based technical and creative services provider serving the entertainment industry.

* Tigar Hare Studios, a Sherman Oaks-based computer animation and visual-effects studio, has named Kristi Frazier executive producer. In addition, Neil Richmond has been named character animation director, and Mark Brown has been appointed vice president of business development.

* Veteran film producer Preston Lee has joined Area 51 Film of Santa Monica as executive producer.

* Simon Sutton has been promoted to executive vice president, international television, at MGM Worldwide Television Distribution, a unit of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc. He will continue to oversee sales and distribution of all MGM and NBC programming in international TV markets.

* Veteran feature producer Michael S. Glick has been named senior vice president, physical production, at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer’s MGM Pictures and United Artists.

* Laura-Beth Sholkoff has been promoted to senior vice president and manager of corporate marketing for Union Bank of California in Los Angeles.

* Rick Overley has been promoted to senior associate of Perkowitz+Ruth Architects of Long Beach.

* Toby Cromwell has joined Transamerica Investment Management as vice president of institutional sales. He is a former executive of Invesco.

* Denise McConnell has been appointed sales manager for the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa, scheduled to open in January.

* Andy Johnson has been named director of operations of Packaging Department Inc., a Los Angeles supply chain and transport packaging firm. He previously worked for Empriva Technology.

* Michael Keenan has been named vice president of sales and marketing of Moviola, a Los Angeles-based media technology and education company.
