Man, Horse Die in Predawn Collision

A 47-year-old man, driving east on Avenue E in Lancaster, collided with a horse Tuesday morning, killing himself and the horse, authorities said.
Gary Stiles of Palmdale, driving a 1995 Saturn, hit the galloping horse about 4:30 a.m., said the California Highway Patrol.
