Bristol Offramp Will Be Closed Another Week
The Bristol Street offramp from the northbound San Diego Freeway in Costa Mesa will remain closed another week because recent rains slowed efforts to rebuild the exit, Caltrans officials said.
The ramp, which is being redesigned to eliminate dangerous weaving by drivers trying to exit at Bristol while others merge into northbound traffic, is now scheduled to reopen Nov. 22. Caltrans had planned to put the exit back into service Friday after a two-week closure.
Officials said the storm saturated the soil. Work will resume when the ground dries.
